Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
After a stroke people may experience challenges in memory, thinking, and problem-solving skills. With practice, cognitive exercises can help ‘rewire’ your brain and improve these skills. Cognitive activities including word games, puzzles and discussions.
We offer a weekly iPad class run by our Speech Language Pathologist assistant. The goal of this program is to help interested members learn how to use an iPad, incorporating playing various cognitive games that are available on the tablet.
In addition, a weekly computer class may be offered, teaching members basic computer skills including the use of email, to enhance communication with family and friends.
