Kaia Stoesz

Music Therapist

My name is Kaia (she/her), and I am a music therapist, educator, and performer. My clinical work centers around the fundamental belief that music-making is an essential component of the human experience, and that every person can grow and change through their relationship with music. My framework is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and client-centered practices that honor the autonomy and individuality of each person I have the privilege of working with.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Capilano University (2025), Bachelor of Music from the University of British Columbia (2021), and have completed Level 1 training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (2023). I am also an active volunteer for the Music Therapy Association of British Columbia, currently serving on their Continuing Education Committee. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, reading, making music with my friends, running along the Vancouver seawall.
