Coordinator, Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Yasmine Bia delivers Speech and Language therapy one on one and also works with some groups at the centre. She began volunteering at the centre in 2012, finished a practicum under Penelope Bacsfalvi’s supervision and is now working as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certified by Speech Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). As an SLPA, her therapy is supervised by the centre SLPs, Penelope and Allison. Yasmine grew up in Saskatchewan and has a BA in Linguistics from the University of Saskatchewan and a BSc in Communication Disorders from Minot State University. She has also spent many years working in the field of English as a Second Language. In her free time, she enjoys singing, travelling, swimming and volunteering in several capacities.
