Our last regular program day was Thursday, March 12th, 2020. Over the past year and a half, we have worked hard to keep in touch with our members in some new and creative ways but are thrilled to begin a new chapter in the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre story. Many activities will be familiar from before but some things, like Zoom, will become part of the program.

The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic keeps changing. The current plan is that all our members, staff, and volunteers that participate in our programs will be double vaccinated. When we open on Tuesday, September 7th we will continue to follow our COVID safety precautions set up earlier in the year: screening, hand sanitizing, frequent surface cleaning, social distancing, and mandatory masks. My hope will be that we can lighten some of these precautions soon, but we will always follow government recommendations.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

  • COVID-19 screening at the door. Please don’t attend if you’re unwell.
  • Accept the risk of possible illness due to your participation.
  • Wear a mask inside the Centre (please bring your own).
  • Stay at least 2m (6 ft) away from others,
  • Sanitize your hands frequently.
  • Report to a staff member if you feel unwell
